Guest thomaswb Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I'd like to visit a friend in Forster, and the strip on Wallis Island looks good in Google Maps, but does anybody know who I contact to fly in there? And how do I get to the mainland?
Guest pelorus32 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 G'day Thomas, I finally tracked down the real estate agent in Forster who looks after matters for the owners. The answer is an absolute "No" you may not use the airstrip. You could of course buy the whole island which is currently for sale! Alternative is Old Bar airstrip a bit north of Forster. Regards Mike
Guest thomaswb Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Thanks, Mike. Do you have the real estate agent's details so I can add the "for sale" info to the airfield database? 8^) Taree is probably faster by road from Forster than Old bar, and the strip is a bit longer...

Two different agents - the one who "looks after things" is one of the local Forster ones - I can't remember which. The one that has it listed is one of the big Sydney ones - Colliers or Knight Frank. I'll see if I can find it. Regards Mike
Guest pelorus32 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Try Colliers: WALLIS ISLAND, - - FORSTER, Island retreat - Convenient with private airstrip: For Sale
