superjacent Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Greetings all, Steve here from Hoppers Crossing. Got my licence years ago and then had a 10 year gap without flying, passed my BFR back in 2002, and haven't flown since. I'm now thinking about trying to get back into this caper. Some thoughts crossing my mind are building and/or get an instructor rating. Anyway, must go now, have a 30 min joy flight in a Tiger Moth at Point Cook this afternoon. A present from my other half.
facthunter Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Welcome Hope the flight goes OK It's pretty windy here. Nev.
Guest Decca Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 :welcome:Steve. 30mins won't take long. Hope you had a great day at Pt. Cook. Must do that soon myself. Regards, Decca.
superjacent Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 Yep, back now, didn't take long. Had a good time, never been upside down in an aircraft before but I can't see myself doing it again anytime soon. Also first time in an open cockpit.
skydog Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Saw you today Steve over my house in Elwood. Hope you enjoyed it. Isee you like pushers. NEARLY BOUGHT A LONGEZE. I so much admire Rutan.

G'day Skydog, thought that was your house........ I've been in love with those Rutan planes since the early 80's. Steve.
skydog Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Same here but not just those EZ planes but also the development into space aircraft as well. Very admirable and great that it can be done on a comparitive shoestring.
