Guest bumble Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I have only been flying for 2 years, have always wanted to, and now know that I always should have!! Living on a hundred acres permits me to have my own airstrip and I park my plane right next to the car in the shed. I still have to call it a shed as the wings are wider than the door way, and then there is all the usual stuff a shed has to contain. I bought a 2nd hand Jabiru SP 2.2 on very low hours, for about the same price as building one, so the thought of building soon diminished. Now I'd rather be flying so nothing else matters.

jabpilot Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Yeah, nothing beats having your own airstrip, on call, anytime. Since moving here 18 months ago, when we go somewhere even for just a day, I look forward to getting back home, surrounded by like minded folk. It's a shame I have to go away for a bit over the school holidays... But then, I guess I must be a fanatic; I have a picture of my Jab J200 on my credit card skin!
Guest Decca Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 It looks like two of you have found Aviation Heaven now. I know there's more of you though. :welcome:to the forums Bumble. Regards from Decca.
