Have just been browsing this site, so thought I would join. I first learned to fly the Grumman AA-1 & AA-5 in Perth in the late 70's but then got married and couldn't afford to fly any more (sound familiar) and it was only $28/hr. Renewed my passion for flying in 1992 when I brought a Powerchute and am about to update this to an Aerochute in the next few weeks. I fly around the Meekatharra area in Central WA.

I`ve flown quite a few different types of Ultralight aircraft over the years but never a powered parachute.

What`s the difference between a Powerchute and an Aerochute?.

Frank.

Powerchute v Aerochute

Hi Frank, Basically they are the same thing AU Aerochute originated from the UK Powerchute. I got into powerchutes because of their simplicity and safety.
