Guest brentc Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Hi all, I'm chasing some photos of the rudder pedal assemblies in Jabiru Taildragger aircraft. A gent down this way is working on a project with his homebuilt J230 and requires the installation of toe-brakes. I've heard that some people have built their own set-ups with master cylinders from a variety of sources so I'm interested in receiving some photos of what might be out there. If you can help, please either post here or email me, [email protected] Thanks!
Guest Qwerty Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Brentc, I will send you some pics after my next visit to my hangar. I know that these things are generally referred to as taildraggers but technically they are aircraft with CONVENTIONAL undercarriage. Taildraggers have skids at the back.
Guest brentc Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Great thanks, I was going to email you and ask anyway :-) It's for a VERY interesting project.
Guest Cloudsuck Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 No worries, see attached. I took theses one when I made stonger push rods. I don't have any closer ones. The biggest problem I see with a lot of toe brake installations on experimental and factory planes is mounting the bottom of the master cyliner to the floor of the aircraft so when you apply rudder, you also put im brake. I have seen a Bushcaddy and a Savage Cub like this.
Guest Qwerty Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 No point in me taking pics. Cloudsuck's pics are of my a/c.
