turboplanner Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Depends how far back down the nostalgia path you want to go. In the old Humber days you got to do that more often because the engine life of a typical 25 hp Austin was about 65,000 km. My grandfather had a horse team, and ploughed the foundations for the trams in King William St, Adelaide, then put them on a ship and worked in the Karri forests of WA. He had to get up at 3.30 am to start harnessing, but was always finished after dark. He never had a flat battery He never had to buy replacements because they reproduced themselves. And if things got really bad he could eat them.
jetjr Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Yep thats why they paint yellow the things under the hood you can touch, usually only the dipstick, water bottle and trans fluid these days and everything else needs a degree in computer technology haha All electrical connectors to do with Airbags are also yellow!!!! JR
Guest watto Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I will have to get a second opinion before I touch them JR! haha
Yenn Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Carefully assess anything you are told Watto, especially this. Would your past career have any bearing on the way you store your plane. it looks as if it is in jail in prison garb, will have to post a photo here.
Guest watto Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 It may well have something to do with that, you must admit I have lowered security measures and dropped the front fence so we are down to medium security classo now. But you just cannot trust those pescky cows, the buggers ate my christmas lights off the front verandah bulbs and all so my plastic jab would be just an entree!!!! hahahahhehehehe
