flying dog Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Hi folks! I've just uploaded a couple more of my efforts. A new/er version of the flight planner. Read the stuff with the file for what has changed. And a runway crosswind calculator. I hope these work. Everyone enjoy.
icebob Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Hi, No still can not open???? Tried Versions 8,9 & 10.1 of winzip, no joy. Tried a computer with XP Pro and Vista no joy??? Bob.
Admin Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Hi Guys, I have just downloaded it and it has worked for me - I will have a look further into it when I can but I think it has something to do with the unzip software that you may be using
Guest Brett Campany Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I got it to work as well, going to play around with them a bit more too.
flying dog Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 Quick thing: Seems I didn't do enough work on the runway crosswind calculator. Sorry folks. Work to happen ASAP.
flying dog Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 Hi folks. I've uploaded a newer version of the X-Wind calculator. Note to all: It shows CROSS WIND. Read the stuff in the post in downloads. (I hope this works)
Orienteer Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 i left a reply with the file, but i have had no joy either. Would love to get it to work
perthjay85 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I to had no luck, it says there is unreadable files that cant be found. What program did you use to zip it flying dog??? I have tried winzip and now PKzip which i have found has worked for every other file that could be downloaded
flying dog Posted July 23, 2009 Author Posted July 23, 2009 Folks, Seems there are still problems. If someone could help me on how to put it on another site where we could all get to them. (NO offence Ian.) I have a goooooogle account but don't know how to put things there for others to access. Anyone able to help me?
flying dog Posted July 23, 2009 Author Posted July 23, 2009 Ok, as I said: No offence Ian. Folks, as it seems many are having problems getting the file/s how about you send me a private message and when I have a few, I'll send it off to you all? Good idea?
Orienteer Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Ok, once i extract the file for a second time it worked fine. not sure of where (if) there was an issue at all. Impressive looking sheet, will have to sit down and read the instructions. Not sure if i made it clear, but i had to extract a file from the Zip file, then extract that file - then the XLS spreadsheet appeared.
Turnerj Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I actually cant get any zip file to download from this site? Frustrating because everyone has given this a good wrap.
flying dog Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 Ok folks. I hope I sent the file to ALL who want it. If you didn't get it, PM me and give me your e-mail address.
perthjay85 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Hey Flying dog, thanks heaps for the files. there all working and look fantastic. Just gotta wait for my new copy of excell to arrive so i can actually enter information into them. once again cheers for that jay
flying dog Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 Good to hear. Update to all also: I think that the Flight planner spread sheet is NOT the latest. It kind of got "stuck" in my drafts box and updates were done in the mean time. Once I get checks that they all work and who/how many I'll send the latest to all.
flying dog Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 Ok, touching base. Hi again folks. Ok, I've sent out the e-mail with attachments. I know I should know to whom I have sent the file, but I'm having "one of those days". So far I have: Destiny Flyer Orienteer Icebob I am sure I sent it to others. If you don't mind, PM me your e-mail and I'll add it so when any updates happen/come, I'll send them to you. Ian, I am not trying to out do you. I am saying this until the problem is resolved that half the people still can't unzip the file. Slarti, I know I may have yours, but if you don't mind.
