slartibartfast Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I finally made it to Temora. Every other time I have planned to go in the last few years, something has gone pear shaped (usually weather or family). Had a great day, caught up with some forumites (they're everywhere), checked out the museum, watched and heard a lot of great aircraft flying, and snapped a lot of pics. Here's a few. Too tired for more tonight. markendee Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Good on you Ross. Great photos. Was great to meet you and spend time watching the great displays with you. The Temora people made us welcome and their hospitality was above and beyond. For those who haven't you must. Mark
skydog Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Yes great photos Slarti. I was impressed by the Cessna jet trainers performance what a plane that is and the sound n`all!!!
Guest AirBorne Flights Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Thanks for the photos fellas. Its good to see some colour. Cheers Criso
slartibartfast Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 Good on you Ross. Great photos. Was great to meet you and spend time watching the great displays with you. Yeah - it was great to catch up Mark - and your mad mates. It was a great day. I'm glad I was wrong about the SW wind. Did you get home in one go?
Guest Qwerty Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I ended up in Temora by accident one day. The show was great, I should have taken more pics. How do you know when you meet someone from here. I don't introduce myself as Qwety. I met Brentc in Corowa one day, he worked out that it was me afterwards, when he saw my avitar.

It's a fantastic bonus to add to all the other great reasons to own a Cheetah.
markendee Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I'm glad I was wrong about the SW wind. Did you get home in one go? Ross, Made it home in 2.1 hrs. Beat last light by twenty odd minutes. I reckon the wind was pretty neutral at four and a half. How was your trip/s? (Cheetah and car) The Cheetah is a pretty prominent calling card. I remember a bloke eating bacon and eggs off the wing once. Mark
slartibartfast Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 You did well then Mark. No - I found the wings too low and the ground too wet, so I ate brekky on the cowl. A very civilized way to wait for power to be restored to the bowser. It was a smooth flight home thanks. I love those days. When it's too rough you get sick of going up and down like the Assyrian Empire.
