Guest AirBorne Flights Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Congrats mate, enjoy the lifestyle we do.
Chucky Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Awesome Killerpaint you're gunna love it. I also fly the J160...nice in the air but a little tricky at high speed on the ground....I have found they like to wander. But that could be just me...every pilots different.
Chrism Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Wandering Jabs Awesome Killerpaint you're gunna love it. I also fly the J160...nice in the air but a little tricky at high speed on the ground....I have found they like to wander. But that could be just me...every pilots different. I have to agree Chucky! I find that the trickiest thing to do in my early training has been to steer with the peddlals because of the direct connection to the nosewheel (and my lack of experience!)
GraemeK Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I find that the trickiest thing to do in my early training has been to steer with the peddlals Yep - I agree, I've mastered it now, but the early takeoff runs at 120km/h on a bumpy (sometimes muddy and slippery as well) grass runway steering with your feet took some getting used to! Made freeway driving at 100 clicks look a breeze!
Guest studentbiggles Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 :welcome:Killer, I had my 3rd lesson today,I'm so chuffed:clap:...My "Jabbi' was more agreeable today...Me thinks I'm getting the feel of her with taxiing....I was so please with my call outs/ins, so was my CFI:thumb_up:....Landing wasn't too shabby either:big_grin:...CFI was very pleased with overall effort...Start to finish, this has really lifted my confidence.....Good luck with your 1st lesson...Best thing any of us did was to learn to fly:clap:.."Keep it in the Green"..Cheers Studentbiggles (Alley)
