slartibartfast Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 OK - a new month. It's spring, so we expect a lot of entries because there'll be a lot of flying. Don't forget to have a high res version available for publication, and to make sure you send that to Angela when you win. Get yourself a-snappin' and a-postin' so you can be a-winnin' and a-readin'.
Philthy Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Many thanks to Angela at Pacific Flyer and, of course, Matt Henderson. The shot wouldn't have looked nearly as good without him! If I can do it, so can you blokes! Go for it...
SRGE Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Tyabb Circuits Cessna down at Tyabb doing circuits
Spin Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Here are a couple from the Festival of Flight at Watts Bridge...
facthunter Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Slats. DH-82. Interesting picture of the TIGER. Not a good idea to put the wingtip on the ground. The Slats should be locked closed, so you don't get the extra lift from the upwind wing. The mainplanes should stall when the aircraft is in the 3-point attitude. Nev
Air Creation Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 A flexwing photo to spark up September..
Philthy Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 A flexwing photo to spark up September.. Nice!

hihosland Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Nice to see that Pilthy has a soft spot for the excited dog
Seal Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Nice to see that Pilthy has a soft spot for the excited dog Oh puhlease! That's either entirely accidental or it is a double entendre of epic proportions.
Powerin Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Sabre From last Saturday's Flying Day (5th Sept) at Temora where the newly restored Sabre flew in public for the first time. Not a prize winning photo, or even a good one...but it's not every day you see a Sabre and a Hornet flying together in formation!
Spin Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Here's another, taken near Pimpama at the northern end of the Gold Coast
Philthy Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Nice shot, Spin. Would you consider sending it to Eddie Coates at Ed Coates Aircraft Photographs ? Eddie is running a project that a few of us are involved in to put a photo of every aircraft registered in Australia before 1970 on the net, and VH-TSG is one we don't have yet. Cheers, Philthy
Spin Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Only a pleasure Philthy, I have a record shot, taken in the hangar of VH ASB, another Moth based on the same property, if that is another of your gaps. Regards Carl
Philthy Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 More from Bundaberg: rare Genairco and Dragon in formation.
Philthy Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I have a record shot, taken in the hangar of VH ASB, another Moth based on the same property, if that is another of your gaps.Regards Carl Yes please, Carl. VH-ASB is another one Eddie doesn't have yet.
Spin Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yes please, Carl. VH-ASB is another one Eddie doesn't have yet. Done, unfortunately only a hangar shot and a bit untidy at that.
