mareeray Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 G'day, I'm Ray and my wife is Maree. For business reasons, we both took up the challange to learn to fly around nearly 2 years ago. In that time we succeeded in gaining our RA Aus licences in the Tecnams at the Horsham Aero Club, after which we purchased a Cessna 172 and continued on to achieving our Private Pilots Licences. In March this year we took delivery of a new Eurofox aircraft powered by a Rotax 912. We had it fitted with a Dynan D180 and a D100 linked together. We also had fitted an Auto Pilot, transponder, VHF Garmin radio, Zulu lightspeed headsets, and many other extras. Many thanks to Tony and the team at Horsham Aviation for the fantastic service they have given us. On weekends when the weather is favourable, we try to seek out destinations to fly to. Having a wife who is as keen as myself to fly means that the pilot in command constantly changes. Sometimes it is just great to be a passenger and enjoy the marvellous views we encounter. Having 2 pilots also means 2 sets of eyes scanning the horizon, and 2 sets of ears listening out for radio calls. Not to mention the work load within the cockpit is made easy. Happy flying everyone, Ray
Guest Decca Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Welcome to yet another (pair of) members from Horsham. You are both very lucky to be enjoying such a unique interest together like few others can. Especially with such a fine aeroplane. Regards, Decca.
Wangaratta Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Hello (: Sorry for the late Hello *waves*! Just thought I'd say that I'm going to be learning to fly in a Eurofox at the local Aero Club. Some person in their 80's brought the aircraft from Horsham Aviation and is being used at Wang Aero Club I've been told. Also I have been told they are great aircraft to learn in (although you don't really need to know seeing as you have a license) Cant Wait . -Jack

stanzahero Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Hi Ray and Maree. I remember the flight well. Both Bec and myself were given a taste of the Eurofox. Although I'm a little puzzled as to why the thread has just shown up for me... Glad to have you guys aboard. Stan.

mareeray Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 Hi Bec & Stan, Glad to hear from you. Hope you both are enjoying your flying as we are. Both our planes are running like clockwork. We took both of them (Eurofox & Cessna 172) down to Cobden, then along the coast to Warrnambool the other day. Weather was great. We're heading to Robe and along the coast on Sunday. Hope we see ya soon. Ray & Maree
