Guest Brett Campany Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 OK one of the pilots at work pointed this out to me about 15 minutes ago, anyone seen or checked these out yet? Australian Aircraft Kits, home of the Hornet, fully enclosed all metal aircraft kits
Guest Maj Millard Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yes Brett, you've got some over there in the West. Good strongly built bush aeroplane by a good designer and manufacturer. I haven't strapped one on yet, but there is a lot of interest in the bush. Also just ferried a Savannah VG up to Queensland and it is very impressive also. I would expect the new XL version should be a beauty, and a 150 Ltr fuel capacity !!...at 20 lts an hour (more likley around 16.5 Lph) that's seven hours of fuel !!......... and it still gets off the ground in short time with 2 up and full tanks.....................................................
Guest Brett Campany Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Nice, I might have to check them out for future reference Cheers Major!
dazza 38 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 They look like a nice aircraft, alot of aeroplane for the money. A rotec radial would be nice on the front. It would look like a minature Beaver
slartibartfast Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 They're made in Taree by Ole Hartmann - almost next door to Garry Morgan. Lots of good things come out of Taree. Speaking of whom, Garry will be in Cowra this weekend in the Sierra, and will have pictures of the new 4 seater Cougar which is well underway. If you want a good Australian kit and 4 seats, this will be well worth checking out.
