Hi folks.

 

Anyone got any suggestions to a good one? (and nominal price)

 

Though I don't want to have to mortgage the house to buy one.

The best that I have used is the Icom A20 or A22 latest model. Icom is a very good brand and the unit is easy to program and use. You can normally find a s/h one on Ebay.... as I did for reasonable $$$$'s.

I did some research and love my Vertex pilot III. great price, Under $280 Canadian.

Check out avionics on ebay from the states. Picked up an Icom ic-A4, in beautiful condition for A$140 delivered recently.
