flying dog Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Hi folks. Yeah, me again. I have a Garmin 96C, "Mapsource" and other GPS programs. Mapsource is a great program for tip planning. It gives you distance and track info for the whole of Oz and when done, you simply upload the trip to the GPS. EASY PEASY. Well, kinda'. I have gathered files with all the Oz airports and VFR waypoints, etc etc etc. The "Problem" for me is that most of the airports do NOT have the altitude data in them. Although I can get the ERSA and enter the data myself, this method is slow and painful. :hittinghead: I know I have asked but to date I have still not got an answer which I understand to HOW I can use something like EXCEL (yeah, I love it) to make a file which creates a file which Mapsource can understand and import and then be used. I've tried studying the layout of the exported file/s but have had no luck. Is there a "geek" out there who would not mind helping me with this quest? Garmin are not too forthcoming with how to do it for some reason, so I've given up on them. Anyone?
