Admin Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 The new Saitek gauges have arrived giving you the ability to have up to the full 6 pack of flight instruments right in front of you. They are not cheap though - Clear Prop will have them at $199 each
Guest Maj Millard Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Hell Ian, you've got an aeroplane haven't you ?....what do you need that stuff for ???...they just give you bad habits.............Maj
flying dog Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Don't complain. Try "Sim kits" who sell that kind of stuff. Nothing against them, but their prices are a bit more than that from memory.
flying dog Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 AARRKKK!!!! (Nothing against you Ian.) I saw them and just loved them. As I live in Sydney, I found someone closer who sold them. "Luckily" they only had two in stock. I would have bought more. Kinda lucky I didn't. STUPID ME - I didn't read the box. These work on FS-X ONLY! I am a FS9 person. AARRGGHH!! I wonder if someone has made a "hack" to get them working on FS9? (Yeah, probably not the best place to asK)
Ultralights Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 actually, if you had them set up in the usual standard pattern, ASI on the top left, AH top middle, Alt top right, T & C bottom left DG bottom middle and VSI on bottom right, you could use these to practice your Instrument flying scan routine.... though you should never be flying on instruments in RAAus aircraft.
Thx1137 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 AARRKKK!!!!I wonder if someone has made a "hack" to get them working on FS9? (Yeah, probably not the best place to asK) I expect the drivers use SimConnect which means they can't work in FS9 unless someone writes drivers using FSUIPC. It is not trivial so unless the manufacturer is planning on creating some I don't think you will be in luck any time soon unfortunately.
flying dog Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 "Ultralights" the gagues, an Airspeed, altitude, VSI and direction would be nice in an ultralight. But anyway, that's accademic. Seems I have two "Lemons". Anyone wanna buy them? I'm in Sydney.
