Hello everyone, I've only just stumbled across this great forum. I'm relatively new to flying (started May 2009) but am totally addicted, and can't believe I let people talk me out of doing this earlier!!!

At the moment I'm flying a Sportstar (24-4467) out of Parafield with Forsythe Aviation and absolutely loving it. I've only clocked up about 20 hours so far, with bad weather & work schedules not helping me fly more.

That's all for now for this "quick intro" to me..

Hi Tim, welcome to the forums.

I can tell you've got the motivation to make it. Do you live far from Parafield? When I lived in Adelaide it was a long way to go, but that was a long time ago!

Regards, Decca

Thanks guys, and yeah I've got to agree that a late start is better than no start!

And Decca I'm lucky that I live all of 5 minutes drive from Parafield! 006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif

Welcome Tim!

I too fly the SpartStar at Parafield. In fact, I own it and Dave leases it back from me. :)

I am sure I'll run into you there at some point if I haven't yet.

Also have a look at the AeroScene Flying Group. Obviously everyone is welcome, but right now pretty much everyone is from Parafield.

That's great Tim. I hope Parafield is not the next airfield the developers move into. I bet it's surrounded by housing now.

Decca.

It would if the mayor of Salisbury had anything to do with it. Fortunately, she doesn't.

Never heard of anything being mulled at state level, so probably in the clear for a while.

Hi Timbo 098_welcome.gif.81ff07d492568199326e4f64f78d7bc6.gif

SportStars rock! but I'm sure you don't need me to tell you.

Basscheffers: If it ever hits the fan at Parafield, your Sporty would be welcome at Aldinga, the 6 other Sporties here would like another friend

In fact, I'm pretty sure I've seen you fly into Aldinga on a Saturday or two ...your copilot is a photographer?

I've brought a few co pilots along, one of them was a photographer, yes. :)

My first alternate would probably be Gawler, as Aldinga is a long way from where I live; an hour and a half at least by car. :(

But next time you see 4467 come in on a Saturday or Sunday, come say hello! :)
