Landed in Nandi once in the 70s..first time in Fiji. Couldn't believe the Shiek type person with beard and turban cleaning the airport terminal, then a fiji bloke wearing a skirt and sandles with fuzzy hair went by...I was glad it was only a short fuel stop, and that we didn't leave the airport !!
