Guest rxbrumby Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I was wondering if it is possible to get the Mtow on my aircraft changed? When it was built it was designed to have an Mtow of 560Kg, but at the time only 480Kg was the maximum allowable for RaAus. So is it an easy thing to do, or too much trouble/impossible? That 80Kgs would come in handy, I have done the W&B calculations and they work out ok. I could even add an Aux fuel tank for more range. Cheers Scott
facthunter Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Change to Max. AUW. I have an aircraft in a similar position. As I understand it, you should get 544. Kgs or up to 600 Kg (560 in your case) under LSA (if it can apply). LSA is a bag of worms, and as you would only get an extra 16 kg would not be worth it. Nev
Deskpilot Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Hey Scott, haven't seen you for quite some time. You aren't putting on weight are you mate? :see saw:
Guest basscheffers Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Hey Scott, I would just email Steve Bell ([email protected]) and get it straight from the horse's mouth. Probably all it needs is a little paperwork.
