Peiler Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Hi all, I am planning a visit to Tassie next April, and want to work in a flight to see the place from the air. What's the hassle? I don't have a licence, so would like to find out whether anyone there would like to take myself and my wife on a tour (costs covered of course) If not - any ideas on how I could arrange something like this/who to talk to? Many thanks, Peiler
Tomo Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Hey G'day Mate! Welcome along to Rec Flying... Sounds like a good trip! There is a pretty nice guy here that lives in Tassie and fly's an aeroplane... A pretty good combination if you ask me!:thumb_up: Go's by the name of Qwerty... He'll no doubt show up here sometime and announce himself. Have Fun, and stay safe! By the way, in the meantime you should go and get yourself an RAA (Recreational Aviation Australia) Trial Flight, and you never know, you could even be flying yourself around Tassie by then! It really isn't as expensive as you think if you go that way....
Peiler Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Thanks Tomo - I have done 18 hours of a GA licence a few years back, and then couldn't committ enough time to keep going, but am certainly planning to get back into it. Unfortunately it won't happen before the trip. Thanks for the link to Qwerty too. Cheers, Peiler
Guest Qwerty Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Gday Peiler I can probably work something out for you and you wife. PM me to work out dates and what you want to see, I don't take much encouragement to get airbourne. Cheers, Qwerty
