flying dog Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I know there is one at Crookewell. No, that is not the one for which I am looking. Driving down the Hume, I passed a wind farm with about 12 "trees" (?) just off the Hume, somewhere around Yass, I think. It isn't shown on the charts, so I am trying to find it. No one else belives me that it exists. Does it, or was I in the "Twilight zone"?
slartibartfast Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Somewhere about 34°48'44.39"S 149°24'21.41"E. There's 2 photos on Google Earth there of them. I took a photo on Saturday as it happens. I can show you tonight.
Bruce Robbins Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 You may be in the twilight zone Flying_Doggie :) , but the windfarm isn't. Just near Gunning. Google Earth will show it. Bruce
slartibartfast Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Here's the wind farm you're talking about FD. You can see the Hume in the foreground.
robinsm Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 It is on the top of the Cullerin range about 15km north of Gunning. There are 15 windmills Cheers Maynard
