Guest ozzie Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Despite the overcast skies and early morning rain, Luskintyre Airfield draw a large crowd for the official opening of the Nancy Bird Walton Memorial Tower. The RAAF Band turned up and played a few themes from aviation movies. When the band ran out of puff, Glenn Miller music blended in with the sounds of Tiger engines. After a few official words from the hosts and local Mayor the Tower was declared open and the masses ascended. Flying Dog was seen scrambling into Brumby for a quick circuit. The three Tiger Moth formation was held up for a short time due to the timed 11am arrival of Matt Hall in Fightertowns P51. Some mighty fine flying followed before he slipped off back towards Willy. Tiger Moths filled the sky for the rest of the event. Thanks to the Luskintyre crowd for a great day. Ozzie
