Hi,

I have been designing and building a very small (14ft) composite single seater. I'm in the very early stages of the build, and have now decided that a move to Brisbane is probably in the cards in the next few months. So I'm trying to decide whether I should leave what I have already built behind in Auckland, and start again - or if I should ship what I've built to Aussie. The jury is still out on this one...

However, what about legal and CAA-type paperwork/requirements?

Here in NZ it is a matter of registering one's intention to build with the CAA, and then have one's build inspected from time to time. Very light on the requirements.

What hoops will I need to jump through in Australia? Who do I speak to? What organisations do I need to join? And what forms do I need to fill out?

Regards,

Duncan
