rtfm Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Hi, I have been designing and building a very small (14ft) composite single seater. I'm in the very early stages of the build, and have now decided that a move to Brisbane is probably in the cards in the next few months. So I'm trying to decide whether I should leave what I have already built behind in Auckland, and start again - or if I should ship what I've built to Aussie. The jury is still out on this one... However, what about legal and CAA-type paperwork/requirements? Here in NZ it is a matter of registering one's intention to build with the CAA, and then have one's build inspected from time to time. Very light on the requirements. What hoops will I need to jump through in Australia? Who do I speak to? What organisations do I need to join? And what forms do I need to fill out? Regards, Duncan
slartibartfast Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Hi Duncan. Sounds like it will fit RAA, so that's your best bet. Contact the Tech Manager, Steve Bell via [email protected] or call him at the office on +61 2 6280 4700 to sort out the requirements. Straight from the horse's mouth. Cheers, Ross
