Guest basscheffers Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Hi, Has anyone fitted a Koger Sunshade to their SportStar? What was your experience, fit well? How much more comfortable on a 40 degree day? Hoping to find out other people's experience before splurging out on one. Cheers, Bas.

Put one in my 601xl which was an easy install and I flew in a Sportstar which had one.Personally I think they are a must on bubble canopies, but don't expect the temps to drop dramatically. Cheers
skydog Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Basscheffers, They look good. On the RV I use the shades you can buy from the auto shop. They are the dark fine mesh looking ones with suction cups and they do make a big difference. They twist back into a figure 8 for neat packing away. Cheap as chips too & easily removed if required!
Matt Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 We use the same things as Mike (Skydog) in the CT4 and the same when we had the Sportstar. They're cheap and while not going to reduce the temp in the cockpit, they will reduce the direct sun beating down on you...benefit of these type is that you can see through them...otherwise might as well fly a high wing, plenty of shade there ;-)
