Guest Dick Gower Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Just discovered this site. Have started a GA and RA combined flying school for the Royal Victorian Aero Club at Coldstream Airprot in Melbourne's Yarra Valley. Been instructing for 35 years or so and own a Chipmunk VH-DCZ. We have just bought a new Tecnam P92 and have another on line. Also the usual GA Warriors available. Seven instructor trainees (both GA and RA) at the moment.
Guest Maj Millard Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Hi Dick and welcome to the site. Pretty good line up of aircraft you've got there, should be able to teach somebody something !................................................................................
Guest Dick Gower Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 You would think I would know better by now! Dick
Guest Maj Millard Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Dick, you don't die if you fly, you die if you don't fly !...........................................
kaz3g Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Hi Dick You forgot to say "beautiful" when introducing your Chippie! For anyone looking to fly from a friendly airfield near Melbourne, Coldstream is a great choice (no landing fees). The RA stuff has really taken off (yes, I know...) a situation that is no doubt a sign of the times and Dick is a bit of a legend when it comes to instructing whether right way up or upside down. If you are calling in, PPR (a phone call) is required so you can get the gen on local procedures. See ERSA for more details. Kaz
Tomo Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 G'day Dick, and welcome. A lot of MAF pilots get trained down there at Coldstream, would you be one of the instructors who have done that?
