Guest basscheffers Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Hi all On Dec 27th 2009, the AeroScene Flying Group (free and open to all!) is organising a trip to Kangaroo Island; Antechamber Bay's Chapman River Wines Cellar Door, to be precise. KI: Antechamber Bay December 27th aeroscene flying group Airplanes, good food, wine (PAX only!), scenery and possibly a swim, what better way to get away from it all after the hectic days of chirstmas? Hope some of you also based in SA will be able to join us, have a good time and meet some new people. Cheers, Bas.
eastmeg2 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Sounds mighty good. Am heading to KI late March and would be very interested to know of any Fly-In Vinyards/Wineries where we could stock up without having to get a cab.
Thx1137 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I migh have gone but I keep putting off getting an ASIC. Grrr! Steven.
Guest basscheffers Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I migh have gone but I keep putting off getting an ASIC. Grrr! Steven, we're landing at the winery, not Kingscote! So no ASIC required! :)
Thx1137 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Ah, thats right, I jumped the gun, I hadn't checked the details of this one. It was one of the other things you guys are doing. I have family going to Canberra on that day so I might be able to do it if I can get back to the airfield in time. Thanks Bas, Steven.
Kenny Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Hi Guys I have just come across this thread as regards KI . I arived in Adelaide last night by car and planeless if there is a spare seat going to KI I would be most interested. I fly a Savannah out of Kilcoy in Queensland . Cheers Ken
Guest basscheffers Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Looks like it'll be busy there tomorrow! We're counting up to 12 aircraft we know about... I'll probably get there between 11:30 and noon, leave around 3. We're planning to first go down to the beach, waiting for the late comers and then we'll head over to the cellar doors for some food.
