Guest lindsayginn Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Hi everyone. My name is Lindsay and I'm in Hervey Bay, Australia. My dream has always been to learn to fly but I've never taken the steps towards reaching it. My son is now 10 years old and like me, loves planes. It's time to start fulfilling that dream, not just for myself but also for him. So, 2010 will be the year! I'm actually the president of the Australian Air League, Hervey Bay branch. It's awesome to see my son learning about flight and having so much fun. I'm joining in on the action.
facthunter Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Welcome. Even the longest journeys start with a first step. Welcome to both of you. The opportunities that are available would have been unthinkable thirty years ago Nev.
Tigershark21 Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Hi Lindsay, Yes the AAL is a good place for youngins starting out in flying! I was a member once before I joined the RAAF. The aircraft construction and theory of flight subjects are actually quite good. The discipline is good too.. Once he leaves his junior cadet rankings get him into flying!!
