Bct Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Hi there, I'm Brett from NZ. I've being learning to fly the Tecnam Golf and Sierra which I think are great aircraft. I'm heading to the Gold Coast in March and would like to continue to fly in a Golf or Sierra, who would you recomend that is handy to Coomera and good a instructor? I've done 35 dual and 8 solo and working on my cross country. Thanks B
Spin Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hi Brett Welcome to the forum and to the 'Coast too, down the line. There are a few forum members who live on the Coast and a couple of us fly out at Boonah with Airsport, who have 3 Tecnams. It is a bit of a drive out there (hour twenty to an hour and a half) but well worth it in my opinion for a good school and also the atmosphere at the field. I am not sure who else has Tecnams - Redcliffe in Brisbane perhaps, but that will be even further away. Cheers Carl
dazza 38 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hi brett, Good bunch of guys at boonah.Contact us, spin or myself if you like, when you get here.Cheers:clap:
Deskpilot Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Brett, Why in God's name do you want to go to the Gold Coast, Stay in Papamoa. I have an aunt who lives there (Topaz Drive) and she tells me it's great. If you really must come to Oz, come to S.A. It's the best, and friendliest state in the country. helmet on.
dazza 38 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Hi brett, it slipped my mine, im going to wanaka at easter.Anyway their plenty of guys here on the gold coast that wil help you out. Cheers
Bct Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 Thanks Carl, I'm traveling an hour now to fly a Tecnam because it worth it. So the extra time shouldn't be a biggy
Bct Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 Thanks Dazza, Wanaka's a great place (I lived in QTN for 5 years). I flew with U-Fly there and became an addict
Bct Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Thanks Doug, Topaz is just down the road from me. - I wouldn't be a kiwi if I didn't start on the Goldcoast. Brett
Guest Qwerty Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Bct has a point, I think its a law in NZ that they have to go the the Gold Coast. They can infest the rest of OZ from there but they have to start at the Gold Coast.
