Ultralights Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Just a quick circuit at The Oaks airfield, south west of Sydney. Sadly i used the water tight underwater housing on the camera, and being a hot and humid day, the housing fogged up. oh well, the purpose was to increase my confidence level in the Suction cup mounting system and its ability to hold on at flight speed. The Time lapse video was taken with the same camera in single shot mode every 5 seconds. but mounted using the bolt up roll bar mount on the foot peg. using suction mount at The Oaks feel free to rate my landing! using bolt up clamp. ossie Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Some how doubt you'd post up a bad landing...... But mate, why track over the top of CN VFR reporting point on your BK-WOL trip....thumb_down
Guest Qwerty Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Ultra, I just can't get enough of time lapse. What exposure rate did you use. I couldn't even guess. I'd like to do some of that filming, its just terrific. There is no point in rateing landings in aircraft with the ladies undercarrriage, they land themselves. Lets see some tail wheel landings to rate. Just so you know, my rating system is fairly straightforward. Any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing. If you can use the aircraft again its an excellent landing. If you break the aeroplane its a not-so-good landing. Cheers Qwerty

Cheers Qwerty  The camera i used is a small digital HD video camera that also takes 5mp Stills. it can be set to take a single shot at 2 second, 5, 10 30 and 60 second intervals. in this vid it was set at 5 second intervals. this vid was made after the camera took 700 or so images over the course of the flight. all those images are then processed into a movie at 23.9 frames/sec. over the next few weeks, or whenever i get the chance, i want to set it up again at 60 second intervals and get a video of the entire day at the airfield into a short video.
Guest Qwerty Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Thanks for the info, I'm going to have to have a go at that. I just loved the time lapse flight.
