Guest Qwerty Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Happy new year, and as I've posted elsewhere on here, for the record is is the start of the last year of the 199th decade of our calandar. the end of next year marks the start of the 200th decade, significant in that the first significant figure changes which dosent happen many times in most peoples lifetimes.

Tracktop Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 All the best folks. I'm hoping to do a dawn flight over Newcastle tomorrow! Thanks for booking the weather break FD, had a nice fly down over Newcastle and the beaches this morning - not quite dawn though. There seemed to be Warnervale, Somersby, Cessnock, even Pelican and Willy traffic flying around but all pretty quite at Maitland ( except me  of course)

pudestcon Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Im going for my first flight of the new decade tomorrow... hard to believe ive nearly been flying for two years Don't know if I should start this but "What decade are you talking about"? Pud
Guest Qwerty Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 As JG3 has pointed out, years and decades can start and finish any time you like, the time interval is set and is the important thing as the subject is year or decade but the starting and finishing time can be anytime. There is a misconception that a calandar decade ended a few days ago......it didn't what happened was the start of the last year of the 199th decade.
