Looking for a set of Jab Doors

I'm looking for an el'cheapo set of Jab doors to get started on my next experimental project. If anyone has a set or even a single door that they could part with I'd be interested.

Don't know of any laying around, plenty of Robbo doors around though. Why don't you just knock up a new set of full view jobs, if that's what you've got in mind..........................

If I cant get doors, even busted ones, I will have to make my own. I am trying to avoid that for now, I am not the best glasser in Oz (probably not the best one in the room).

How do you do that Maj? I need doors for the T500 and having trouble getting any communication out of TOSG at the moment.

Yes Tommo you are correct, many station hangars I have visited have a set (or two) of R22 robbo doors. Unfortunatly often with a not too pleasant story attached to the chopper itself...there is a learning curve !

The full view doors that I have encountered lately were on the Lightwing Sport 2000, and on a Savannah VG. Both with welded alum frames covered with a sheet of lexan, with the appropriate latching attached. They simple are made to fit into the existing door aparture with a slight overlap of the lexan for a seal. Both were hinged at the top and were very impressive in flight...........................................................................................

I would prefer to get a set of the fibreglass doors madee for the job but if not to be than maybe what you describe could be an option. It would be similar to the doors on my mate Poll's Gemini although the frame there is not welded.

While practical, they are going to look out of place on a Jab. I don't want to build something that looks like is came out of a Mad Max film. Ideally I like a set of doors from a retired jab or a damaged set perhaps.

Have you priced NEW ones? you might get some "seconds" cheap and as Jab repair their aeroplanes they might have some that would not be economical to repair in normal circumstances. Nev
