All, I was asked on the weekend to put this question out there in "Aviator Land" by a pilot who has been around for a long while..........................................?

 

Am the lowest hrs female student pilot (4.2)....STOP LAUGHING "QWERTY"!!! ....in Australia who has purchased their first A/C ????

I lip read. The emoticon right at the top left in Studentbiggles first post appears to be repeatedly saying-

 

"but I love you and my mum"

 

That doesnt make any sense to me, why would anyone make an emoticon that says that....unless I am mistaken. Are there any other lip readers about who could have a look at it.

I know a few people who built their first plane before they did any lessons, and a few who never did fly - just enjoyed the process of building. I had been flying with my father who didn't agree with women having a pilot's licence and when he died I ended up with a plane and no official flight time. I ended up getting my licence and buying a smaller, younger aircraft.

Hi Tomo, of course I'll back you up Sweetie?.......Don't let "Elcheapo Qwertisman" and Co. get under your "Ailerons"...Mind you watch out for Qwerty at the moment guys anything on any A/C that isn't totally secure that "Qwertisman" is sure to flog to build his next Flying Masterpiece????....Sorry Qwerty and thanks for your chat on the phone last night and order......Now remember don't go buying me "Recycled" PFD's!! and as long as they match Pink/Grey cockpit interior.....God my minds boggling now!....Mr "Elcheapo" will probably sent me a pink bag of those "snake" balloons with a note..."Here Alley, blow them up, wrap them around you,and hope for the best when you cross Bass Straight"!!!...Cheers Alley

From what i have read in different mags, a few cirrus a/c have been bought by business people, and then learnt to fly them with no previous experience in flying. Not sure about who many were/are women though.
