Supplier of bird bungs wanted

Hi folks

 

Wonder if anyone can help me with a supplier of cowl plugs, please?

 

My Auster has a PA28 type front on it (0-320) and I would like to purchase some bird bungs to keep the little blighters out of my engine compartment.

Another option is Di at Punkin Head Airsports at Yarrawonga, she's made covers and bungs for both our Sportstar and the CT4 and does and awesome job at very competitive prices.

I agree with Matt, my J230 has covers and blanks made by Di all over it, these are good quality, however came with the Aircraft 2nd hand so cant comment on price.

Made our own using blue high density foam from clark rubber. took a template and they cut the shape, then put bolts through centre and attached rope and red "remove before flight" tape. I'll take a photo and upload to show you...worked out cheap as chips :thumb_up:

I did the same as DD but pushed cable ties throught the foam and home made red flags on all the other intake (etc)bungs,I then tied them all together with long nylon string so when you pull one they all come off....

 

Cost?foam-ling around , fabric,from my wife, string,, from the work shop and cable ties from tool box.. hmm Cost - zero! You dont often get that in aviation....
