Rodds bay

For thjose who were thinking of using Rodds Bay airstrip.

 

Firstly I will be away on a trip to WA, the hard way, by road for the next 3 months. Maybe Watto or Milton 56 could help with any enquiries.

 

Secondly there has been damage to the strip by the large number of un-cut bulls that want to vent their testosterone. We do not recommend using the strip, unless there is someone local present. The main holes are adjacent ot the house on Western side, and ctr. of strip 100m S. of house.

 

OK for something like a Savannah if a precautionary search looks OK. Not so good for faster or visibility impaired planes.

 

If you see a little old grey haired bloke around your strip, between Gladstone and the SW of WA it could well be me.

I hope to be going via Broken Hill, Peterborough and then the SW of WA, but at the moment I am waiting for the rain to abate. so I can go and cut up the tree which has fallen on my access track. Tomorrow, maybe.
