Pete-the-Pilot Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Have a look at this US Navy F-18 carrier based pilot and his RWY is nice and clear with not a 'cowboy' in sight. Watch Now!
Tomo Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Check out his elevator coming into landing... going up an down like mad! Great video, what about the moisture when he brings on the AoA... great stuff!
Pete-the-Pilot Posted February 8, 2010 Author Posted February 8, 2010 Talk soon Tomo, I need to say thanks for your support of my comments in the video of 'Bob'
stanzahero Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Because it creates a low pressure area. The air becomes less able to support the weight of the dissolved water (water vapor) and so it condenses into clouds. Similar to orogenic clouds over mountains.
dazza 38 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 nice video pete- hi tomo good your back, notice on the catapult take off, the pilot doesnt hold on to the stick, until airbourne, the hornets, because of the flight computers, the a/c automaticaly pitches to the correct aoa.In the tomcats etc, the pilots hold the stick back. When you see the elevators and other flight controls moves a million miles an hour, that isnt pilot input, it the a/c, flight computers doing their thing.Amazing when you see it.
