Hi FlyingDog, Mr Watson i think is a Aviator from way back.Im glad you enjoyed it. I liked the SA, video when Matt Hall, explained what happened when he lost situational awareness for a fews seconds and nearly flew a hornet into the ground.It is a real eye opener.Cheers

Hi FD, James Morrison, has been flying for a long time, he has well over a thousand hours.The reason i know this, is because he went to Boonah, and checked out in Paul Turners Beautiful Savage Cub.(That why he had a Airsport Qld Hat, on in the video "apparently he was told not to wear anything with advertising on it", he got a way with the hat.LOL

I got someone to ring me back today. She thinks it's a great idea and that there shouldn't be any problems, and she'll get the guy who runs multimedia to call me when he gets back from a road trip.A little more promising.

The multimedia guy (Dean Covell) finally rang me today - only 4 weeks!

 

He says that their legal people advised that the best way forward for them was to create their own YouTube channel. This is happening now (CASA now - that would be like "island time" in Pacific nations), then we can link to there.

 

He also offered to provide training packs to us.

 

There are new videos in the works for the Class D changes and mandatory carriage of radios coming in on June 3rd. They will go up on the YouTube channel too.

I ordered this late last year and thoroughly recommend it for the same reasons given by others above.

 

The "Flying into cloud" section is quite chilling. A salutary warning for VFR pilots.
