Guest Canberra Man Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Hi from the other side. I did all three services (glutton for punishment!) I was a Naval Messenger after I left school in '44. I then did National Service in the Royal Artillery on ack ack. and then joined the RAF and was with 617 Squadron in the fifties. I had many trips in the Avro Lincoln and then the Canberra. We did a 6 month detachment to Butterworth in Malaya. there was an Aussie squadron there as well. I also was 30 years with Air Cadets as a warrant officer. Quite an oldie now at nearly 80, but I still manage to help out at the local aviation museum, I'm now working on a link trainer, getting the lelectronics sorted out. My wife and I also breed miniature poodles, theres a litter due in three weeks time. Thats all for now. Ken
