dazza 38 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Welcome slipinaway, have fun here mate.Good luck with your project.
facthunter Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Big Job. I would find the proposition somewhat daunting. Carbon fibre is a bit dangerous to your health and to design AND build is an enormous job. SAAA build a lot of different aircraft (even jets) but some of those guys have spent a lifetime in the industry. There are some kits out there that use carbon fibre and it does permit a high performance aircraft as it is no doubt the lightest and strongest material, available but to get a quality controlled and reliable product would be beyond the "homebuilt" concept, I feel. Consult with the experts before starting this project. I know several people whose health has been seriously damaged as a result ot working with the chemicals that are associated with this material.
