Tomo Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Afternoon all, Just got back from an Awesome trip to St George, 4.1 hrs to the clock all up. About 1 hr 10mins out there, with grounds speeds of around 120-125kts , return trip took about 1 hr 50mins, with grounds speeds around 80-85kts :ah_oh: Landed back at Dalby with a 18-20kt variable gusty wind on the ground, and if I'm allowed to say so, I reckon it was one of my best cross wind landings to date. St George was a hive of activity, with about 7 or 8 Helicopters, and heaps of fix wing aircraft coming and going like the place was going to go out of fashion! SES crews and emergency services working with supplies for flooded places, well not so much because of flooded roads anymore, it's just that the roads are unusable and falling apart. Was talking to one farmer there, he has 30,000 acres under water....! That's a lot Some picture below... in some of them you can see where the water was and has now dried up a bit. From Dalby to St George - Enjoy

Tomo Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 By the way, photo 21 is no dam, or storage tank! Notice the windmill and water tank on a stand in the middle!
