Full marks to the chap (John) who has put his floats up for sale in the last three hundred editions of the RAA magazine.

 

I'm ashamed to say I would have given up around the 269 mark.

 

Can anyone top this effort for persistence?

flying on floats must be a real pain in this country. not only do you have to have a pilots certificate you have to have a boat licence then some states try to make you register the floats then local councils stick their beak in. then you have national parks and marine parks wanting a pound of flesh. why bother.

PS - Pinched one of the tubes putting the rims back together :yuk: - didn't know until I tried to inflate it at the airport.

 

Was SO EASY :thumb_up: to take off tyre and put in new tube (again :yuk:), only took about 30 minutes using hand tools only.
