So when you see ads for syndicates saying minimum 100hrs, do they mean in total flight time or as PIC?

I assume your question is are your training hours with an instructor on board included?

Are you not still PIC in this situation? ??

Every time I've been asked for insurance purposes it has been total time.

Insurance companies I've delt with are talking total time. They seem to like 250+ hours or more for some reason. A syndicate may want total time PIC............................Maj..024_cool.gif.7a88a3168ebd868f5549631161e2b369.gif

No, you would be logging dual time, and the instructor logs PIC time.

Syndicates are more likely to be interested in your hours-on-type in the 1st instance, then total PIC hours. Insurers are also very interested in whether you maintain currency on the aircraft, eg, within the last 90 days. With lowish total experience, currency is all important.

happy days
