Hi there! My old 1956 C-172 has been a good reliable airplane and has taken me many a time into the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. I have flown the airplane forever without the back seat in it to make more room for camping gear and jerry cans. I have an interest in purchasing a CH 701 once I have obtained more information on the CH 701 and on engine choices. There are many abandoned airstrips up north that could safely handle such a STOL machine as the CH 701 appears to be. Being able to have a set of boards on the machine for spring flying with the longer day light and warmer days would be a blast. I would seriouly consider floats at a later time. The CH 750 would be nice to have put there appears that to few are out there for now and the asking price reflects it. I just do not have the interest to build my own nor trust myself to complete the job. 041_helmet.gif.78baac70954ea905d688a02676ee110c.gif

Hi LSLAKER, welcome to our forums here "down under"

Sounds like you're in idyllic touring & scenic country, very photogenic (hint, hint).

Your C172 is nearly as old as I am too, give (or take?) a decade.
