FlyingVizsla Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Hi Rotaryman, Welcome to the site! My cousin Steve who was born a week after me and grew 2ft taller is a chopper pilot and source of some ribbing (fixed Vs rotary). There are a number of chopper pilots on this site and it is good to get some diversity. Your experience and knowledge will be very valuable. If you look around the site there are discussions going on about radio procedures, circuits, reporting incidents, navigation technique, airmanship, legislation etc - all of which you would know off the top of your head and could really help out those starting out. There's heaps on here and they are a friendly lot. Sue
Guest Decca Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Hello R-man, and welcome to this great site. Love your Avatar. Can't figure whether you're a sun worshipper or a ... supporter of airport security, HaHa! Sue's right, there's plenty of experience collected here, but a little more won't go astray, thank you. Regards, Decca.
Tomo Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 G'day Rotary man, welcome along! Sounds like you should never be short of having a lot of fun..! I've done a bit of work on a R22 before, remove engine on one, and help balance another. That was a great experience, I even got to have lots of rides! I've never been in anything other than the little 22, would love to have a go in something else one day soon. I've got low level also, and burn round on a property with a Drifter, great fun! You chopper pilots seem to like keeping the ground 'just there'! Where about's do you instruct?
Guest Howard Hughes Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I don't see any gyros on there...and you call yourself a rotary man! Welcome!
