Jase Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Hi All, My name's Jason and I started flying about 3.5 years ago at YMMB and achieved my first solo after about 18 hours with lots of intermittent lessons. Then I had a bike accident and after recovering and moving interstate to Brisbane recently decided to get back into it. I will be flying out of Archerfield in a PIPER Cherokee (I started on Warrior IIIs and wanted to stay in the same type if possible). First brief is this weekend with a new instructor so hopefully all will go OK. Feel really rusty but it was funny in looking over the plane last week realised most of the theory, checks, and memories still seem to be there. If only that translates into remembering what to do practically........! J
Guest Decca Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Hi Jason, & welcome to our forums. You've done well to get back into flying. Still riding a bike? Sounds like flying is much safer! Especially after reading a few other stories related on the forums here recently. Regards, Decca.
Jase Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 Hi Decca, Thanks for that - and nope - the bikes are definitely off the agenda now!! They hurt when you get knocked off! Flying is a MUCH safer hobby. J
