Zarniwoop Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Hi everyone, Since I was a kid I always dreamed of getting my pilot license; and now I am finally about to take the plunge and start working on my PPL. :) I find it hard to decide on a flight school, particularly with the large amount of money that is involved. I did a TIF with Moorabbin Flying Services which seemed to be a really nice school. However they are a bit expensive when I compare with the Royal Victorian Aero Club. I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with any of those flight schools? Would you recommend one in particular? Many thanks,
Jase Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Hi Zarniwoop, I did up to my solo with MFS and could not recommend them highly enough. I loved the Warriors (and they were in great condition) and the instructors were always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I flew with Kim Von Der Lippe there and he was great. Let me know if you have any other specific questions I might be able to answer....... J
Guest Howard Hughes Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 While I can't comment on the schools you have mentioned, I can recommend Peter Bini Advanced Flight Training!
djpacro Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Zarniwoop, I'm often at Moorabbin - I'm happy to give you a quick tour, introduce you to some instructors at a few different schools and offer some observations. I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned starting off with an RAA school.
slartibartfast Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Why don't you start off with an RAA school? Just thought I'd mention it.
