Crows Nest - Destination?

Hi All,

 

Wondering if it's possible to fly into Crows nest? The nearest airstrip I can find is Toowoomba?

Shags, I think there is a private strip about 2nm NE of crows nest but don't know too much about it or its suitability for fixed wing, If it is owned by the person I think it is, he operates a R44 out of it. Strip is about 600metres long with a lot of high ground around it...other than that next best (and probably only option) would be TWBA)

I know a fella that has a private strip at Cabarlah (near Crows nest). Haven't seen it properly, but I plan to go and check it out one day... he fly's a J200 in and out of it occasionally - {generally he leaves it at Clifton though}

 

I'd probably use Twb, and drive out though....

There is a strip that the Lutheran Reverend Dahl used to fly his C150 out of. It is east of Crows Nest towards the range in trees slightly undulating. Rev Dahl lives at Crows Nest.. give him a ring
