Just in case anyone receiving Nat Geo TV has missed all the trailers, there is a series running on Sundays 2030 EST called Ice Pilots about Buffalo Airlines flying C-46, C-47 & C-54 in Alaska. Ice Pilots | Programmes | Nat Geo AU & NZ - worth watching if you have Austar or Foxtel.

Funny to find this post just after I was watching episode 5.

 

The one being shown this week is episode 2.

 

I have the first 6 episodes, so I'll have to wait a while to see a new one.

Tripped over a reference to said dodgy www on the wrinkled plum a while ago, seemed to be updated regularly as and when the sources were shut down. Had a brief look at Episode 2, not having sufficient bandwidth to download more than that and was quite impressed.

I now know where the ex-manager of MacAir went to work......

 

Brought back some horrible memory's of a flight that took four days to get from Windorah to Brisbane back in 2008. Macair spent more on Motel rooms, charter bus hire and meals than the actual ticket cost. lol Thanks to Qantas for managing to get me on a Full flight from Charlieville. Best Hosties in the world.
