APenNameAndThatA Posted December 23, 2017 I have not got the skill to build an airplane. I have about 30 hrs and no current licence. In that context, it bugs me when designers put lots of effort streamlining the obvious bits of plane that get the maximum view, and put sharp edges in the less obvious bits of a plane, on the bottom. Cases in point: piper PA-28 bottom of the fuselage, and this aircraft. The canopy would do a jet fighter proud, the sharp edges on the bottom of the cowling less so. The flip side is that, IMHO, aircraft are much safer, and easier to fly, if they are not too slippery.
