  1. Good to spread the wings again! Good luck with the two seater, tail-dragger hunt..
  2. I am just wondering why there is a spanner and screwdriver by my post! I don't remember toggling anything like that! So, 'how' do you remove it? Cheers..
  3. Hi Gareth Nice to hear from you. My KIS is a project I bought at the same time as I bought the Champ. It was being built by some enthusiasts at Composites Universal, Scapoose, Oregon, before they got too busy to complete it! It is honeycomb construction 90% complete with 90% to do! I have never liked the KIS 1 vertical stab, it always looked too small for the aircraft to me (being an Art Teacher (retired) the aesthetics are very important to me, and if it looks odd it perhaps handles 'odd' as well. Anyway, with the help of the pro's at Comp Uni, we modified the tail to a sketch done by the brother of Rich Trickle, the original designer. The wings were lengthened a little as well as the tail plane. It will be a tail dragger. I was going to power it with a Lycoming 320 Injected, but am now considering a turbo Rotax to keep it in the Microlight category here in NZ. I will Take some pics and share them later. Cheers..
  4. I have built a hangar at the rapidly developing Airpark concept at Alexandra, C. Otago airport, and hope to add an attached living quarters soon. I have a 1958 Aeronca Champ, 90hp just itching to be certified, and a KIS 1 in a rather less advanced state of completion. Looking forward to conversing with fellow enthusiasts.
