  1. so i was looking into materials and stuff like that, and apparently there's a shop near where I live that sells fibreglass and carbon fibre (i think). There's also a spot at the end of my street where hang glider launch to go flying. perhaps it's a little optimistic, but i've got everything right here!
  2. thanks for that! my thoughts were slightly different to that, but close enough. Might still see if mine would be any different or better, but that guy seems to have it pretty downpat.
  3. yes, like that except maybe with a smaller wing area? but do you have the source on that?
  4. hey, there's no chance of me even starting to attempt this soon. i'm still in highschool and have no money haha. still, i might keep looking further into this if you say there's potential for even something a little usable
  5. lol i could see it a mile off... wish that mexican restaurant didn't shut down! the danger of fire is also quite prevalent using that propulsion system
  6. maybe something like a little jet engine in between the legs? or possibly even one underneath the arm parts. i read that the military in some country had a similar idea that had carbon fibre wings from a pack on the back. they managed to achieve a glide ratio of 6 to 1. Something like that would be really cool i think -EDIT- maybe not between the legs. on your back or under the arms or something? now to find out what kind of composite material would be best
  7. hey guys. just to let you know i'm not a pilot or anything and have no idea about how to fly, but i cam up with an idea. even though it may be TRAGICALLY retarded, imagine a wingsuit except with the wing design from a fight jet. so a rigid wing, with the bulge on the leading top edge where your arms go to create some semblance of lift, and a similar sort of thing on the legs. apologies for wasting your time aussieANON
