Love that model Cessna however, I have a model which has three wings, twin tail booms with three vertical fins, one on each boom and another mounted mid way between on the adjoining tailplanes, it also has three engines like a DH Drover. I thing your model is superb however a good friend of mine who is a newspaper journalist stated that my Cessna was better. . Alan.

  13. Congratulations beefy. It may take 100 hours of training to gain a pilot certificate( if you are a slow learner) but you will be lucky to remember 10% of those hours. You may have flown over 5,000 hours during your flying years, but you will be lucky to remember 5% of those hours. BUT you will never forget every detail of your first solo. Alan.
  14. I guess that I am in real trouble.....does anyone have a spare few acres of land they could give me so I can plant thousands of trees.... I just love my baked beans.. Alan the old fart.
  15. I used to fly low and slow in my Tyro, absolutely fantastic. With a cruise speed of 45 knots and a head wind of 30 knots, ground speed was only 15 knots but if I wanted to go 'really fast' I just turned down wind and I was doing 60 knots now that's a speed increase of 400%. To top it all with a 30 kots head wind and flying just above the stall I could virtually hover. Alan.
  16. Stone the crows ozzie, that was a helluva long flight.

  21. I've been for a spin down the runway in my car and I didn't even turn once. If you can walk away from a landing it was a good one.. Alan.
